Every payment request gets a unique reference key. The register finds the transaction by it and checks the amount, the token and the recipient.

Only verified payments count
The register reads the transaction from the chain and confirms a payment only when everything checks out.

How much do card fees cost you?

Put your wallet in test mode
In Phantom: Settings → Developer Settings → Testnet Mode → Solana Devnet.

Test SOL for the network fee at faucet.solana.com, test USDC at faucet.circle.com (Solana Devnet).

In Settings, pick Devnet and enter the receiving wallet address. Use a different wallet from the one you pay with.

FAQ
Common questions
What is USDC?
USDC is a US-dollar stablecoin issued by Circle. One USDC is worth about one dollar, so you aren’t exposed to price swings the way you would be with SOL.
Can QRpay touch my money?
No. The customer pays straight into your wallet. The register only knows your public address and never asks for a private key, seed phrase or signature.
What does a payment cost?
Nothing for you. The customer pays the Solana network fee, typically under one cent. If your wallet has no USDC account yet, the customer’s wallet creates it on the first payment, a one-time cost of about 0.002 SOL. Send yourself a little USDC first to avoid that.
How do I turn USDC into local currency?
Sell it on a crypto exchange and withdraw the money to your bank account. Fees and terms differ between exchanges, so compare a few.
Do I still need to issue receipts?
Yes. QRpay is not a certified cash register or an invoicing tool, so you issue receipts or invoices as you would for any other payment. Ask your accountant how to book and tax income received in crypto.
What if a customer underpays or uses the wrong network?
The register confirms only when the full amount arrived in USDC at your address. If the customer’s wallet is on another network (for example Mainnet while the register runs on Devnet), the register won’t see the payment and the request expires.
Which wallets work?
Any wallet that scans Solana Pay QR codes, such as Phantom and Solflare. If the customer has the register open on the same phone, the payment link can be opened directly.
Do I need a server or an account?
No. The register runs in the browser and talks directly to a Solana RPC endpoint. For live use, a dedicated RPC (such as a free Helius or QuickNode plan) is more reliable than the rate-limited public endpoint.
